I’m only an ‘overgrown farm boy’ from Allen’s Rivulet, Tasmania who happened to end up being a global advocate for reducing tobacco use, working for many years with the International Union Against Cancer and the World Health Organization. Along the way I took an interest in the family history of how the Stanton family came to be in Tasmania. My search over 20 years for the elusive picture of the ship on which my ancestors came has resulted in a book. The book is partly an exploration of my journey and as such has been very rewarding.
